Meet Our Clinical Staff
BPA treats most Mental Health and Substance Abuse Disorders using a broad spectrum of treatment modalities and therapies. All Therapists are licensed or certified with the State Of Michigan. All therapists are seasoned in their field with 10 to 30 years of experience.
Rita Sierakowski, M.A., L.L.P, is the owner and Executive Director at Bay Psychological Associates, P.C., She is a graduate of Central Michigan University. She has a limited license in psychology and works with children, adolescents, adults and families. Ms. Sierakowski utilizes a holistic and solution oriented approach, along with cognitive behavioral therapy. Issues commonly dealt with include: attention deficit disorder, conduct disorder, neglect, relationship issues, physical/emotional & sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, family issues, stress/anger management, parenting, communication, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, & spiritual issues that affect mental health. She has experience in both inpatient & outpatient settings.
Edward Podany, Ph.D., is the Clinical Director at Bay Psychological Associates, P.C. He is a graduate of Wayne State University with a B.A., M.A. and doctorate degree, Dr. Podany has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He was a Consultant for Wayne County Community Mental Health Board Dual Diagnosis Program; Director of Treatment for Salvation Army Harbor Light Center; Director of Chemical Dependency Program Harper Hospital Detroit Medical Center. He also specializes in Neuropsychological testing, and a variety of Post- Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to include military service. He is a Behavior Therapy Specialist and head of our Anxiety Clinic.
Mary Ellen Roethke, LMSW, CSW, is a graduate of Wayne State University (MSW). She is a certified master’s level social worker committed to strengthening families & individuals, including: interpersonal relation-ships, individual empowerment, emotional, physical & sexual abuse, communication, anger/stress management, co-dependency, adult children of alcoholics, employment stressors, parenting & spiritual issues that affect mental health.
Susan Trerice, M.A., L.P.C., CAAC, is a graduate of Central Michigan University. She is a licensed professional counselor and certified addictions counselor with experience in substance abuse and mental health disorders. She works with adults and adolescents using cognitive behavioral and motivational therapy. She has extensive experience in outpatient substance abuse treatment.
Debbie Wilson, CADC, Ms. Wilson is a certified addictions counselor who has extensive history in the field. She specializes in treatment of adult women and males.
Victoria Bishop, RN, TCAC, has an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Delta College. She is currently pursuing certification in alcohol and drug counseling.
BPA is a For Profit Corporation which services private insurance, individuals, and State and Federal funded services.
